Ahu Te Pito Kura

The moai at Ahu Te Pito Kura is the largest moai ever transported from the quarry and erected on a platform. The moai, called Paro, has toppled and now lies on its face with its topknot next to it. Paro stood 9.8 meters tall and weighed 82 tons, with an 11.5 ton pukao (topknot).

Paro was toppled sometime after 1838. It was one of the last, if not the last, standing moai on the island until modern times.
