The Lodge

Sandoval Lake Lodge is located on the bluffs overlooking Sandoval Lake and is the only lodge within the protected Tambopata Reserve. To get to the lodge, guests must hike 2 miles through the rainforest from the Madre de Dios River to Sandoval Lake.

Daily excursions from the lodge include taking a catamaran out on the lake to see the giant river otters and the wide variety of birds, hiking through the jungle in search of macaws and monkeys, or night time hikes around the lodge in search of tarantulas.
