Selime Monastery

Located at the end of the Ihlara Valley, Selime Monastery is the biggest rock-cut monastery of Kapadokya. Carved by the monks in the 13th century, the monestary includes a cathedral sized church, a vast kitchen and soaring chimney, and stables with feeding troughs.
