The underground system of the Javoříčko Caves consists of a complex of corridors, domes and abysses. The main part of the caves was discovered during several hours of demanding travel through the lower level as far back as 1938, and other sections were gradually discovered in the 1950s. Currently, more than 3.5 kilometers of corridors are known, of which 788 meters are open to the public.
The caves have beautiful dripstone decorations, the richness of which excels in two monumental spaces: the Detritus Cave and the Cave of Giants. In addition to the most common types of dripstone decoration, there is also a rich occurance of helictites, which are dripstones that grow in defiance of the laws of gravity.
